| This page features my recent web design work. My expertise is in providing useful information in an organized, clear and concise manner. I strive for intuitive navigation and visual appeal. I am very responsive as I do not take on more than can comfortably be done at one time and my foremost goal is to do a great job.
Oh yes, my other goal is to provide tasteful web design with character - not insipid! Please drop me a note if you think I can help you with your site's design. Respectfully, |

| The site's design had not been changed for ~5 years. The redesign incorporated significant additions and changes to the site's content, organization and design. Information is now more accessible to students while also presenting the programs and faculty in a more approachable light. A few of the upgrades include: Picasa embedded slide show; RSS feed on home page enable the HoA Staff to make updates without altering any html code; and, the site is much more image rich, showing off the Travel Seminars and Faculty publications, for example. | I redesigned the site in 2009 and have been maintaining it since. Some features that have been especially helpful include: Using Google's Calendar and Picasa to provide easy updates by non-coders. This site is a focal point for fund-raising; as a result, requires some ongoing support to create new modules to promote and creation of forms to collect fees for these events.
The new logo design and the selection of colors were completed by a graphics designer in conjunction with a local CASA team. For the web design, I worked from the logo to create a web design consistent with the local CASA's fine logo. Click here to see the new site which went live Jan2010 and has had several modules added since to feature fund-raising events. The images below are links. |

The old site was reasonably well-organized but needed maintenance. As part of the redesign, I created an on-line "store" utilizing PayPal, various groupings of the art-work and a clickable (Javascript) image gallery. By using CSS (as I do with all sites), we will be able to freshen up the design (new color scheme, font, etc.) with very little coding work at a future date. Link to old site. Link to new site. The current design went on-line in March, 2012. |

The image to the right, used throughout this site, was produced by editing the public domain image. Typically, the images from sites that I have designed for others either (1) come from those organizations (2) are purchased/lisenced from iStock; or, (3) in the case of menu buttons and web formatting graphics, or are my design. In the case of my own sites, the photographs have either been taken by me or my family and are credited as such. |
